MSC Big Band set to release their first ever completely original single.
Admittedly we have been sitting on this one for a while, but we are finally in a position to announce the forthcoming release of our first ever original song 'Grown Ups'. The piece involves all 23 members of the MSC Big Band with features form Atanas Dochev on percussion and Sean Roga on guitar. Recorded in a live session under the guise of engineers Matt Brown and James Paul, and filmed by Dan Needham, this single and video should be released within the first two weeks of November so keep a look on here or on the facebook page for further information!

MSC trumpeter Tom Barber finds success with new jazz night at Fuel Cafe
The night that has now been running since September focusses on making sure there is an environment where local jazz groups for the surrounding universities can be listened to without the expectation of a jam. The cosy, relatively cheap and homely feel of Fuel Cafe in Withington offers a space that on the last Sunday of every month harks back to jazz clubs of old, allowing both a focus on the music but also a social feel. The night is expected to return in September so keep an eye out on this page for upcoming events.
